The Weekly Flush

Flushin’ Friday: Don’t Let Your Pipes Get Hangry

From our newsletter archive. Promotions and giveaways in this issue have ended. Contact us for service.

Tip of the Week: Dishwasher Drama

Your dishwasher isn’t just spraying bubbles and good intentions. If it smells funky or leaves grit on your plates, here’s what to do:

  • Clean the filter. It’s gross in there. Trust us.

  • Run a cycle with white vinegar (top rack in a bowl) to de-gunk.

  • Scrub the door seals. Crumbs love to hide there.

  • Use less soap. More soap = more scum. Weird, but true.

A happy dishwasher = fewer mysterious specks and stink clouds in your kitchen.

This May 2025 promotion has ended. See water heater service and replacement pricing.

Sediment builds up like bad reality TV slowly, then all at once.

A good flush can:

  • Heat water faster

  • Extend your unit’s life

  • Lower your energy bill

  • Prevent your morning shower from feeling emotionally damaging

Maintenance Minute: The Hangry Pipe Problem

Here’s the deal: pipes get hangry too. Not for food, for attention. And if you ignore them long enough, they throw tantrums in the form of leaks, bursts, and late-night gurgling noises that make your dog nervous.

Want to keep your pipes calm and quiet?

✅ Do this once a month:

  • Run hot water down each drain for 30 seconds. Helps clear grease buildup before it goes full artery-clog.

  • Check for slow drains. That’s your pipe whispering, “Help me.”

  • Listen for odd noises. If your pipes knock, whistle, or groan… you’ve got drama.

  • Look under sinks. One drip is an accident. A puddle is a problem.

Treat your plumbing like a plant: check in, give it a little love, and don’t pour bacon grease on it.

New Service Spotlight:

We now install reverse osmosis systems and whole home water filters.

Your water should taste like water not metal, minerals, or mystery.

Leaky Laugh of the Week:

Why did the pipe break up with the faucet?

It felt drained… and she was always under pressure.

Weird Thing We Found This Week:

During a shower remodel, we opened the wall and found… a garden gnome.

Why was it in the wall? How long had it been there? Is it cursed?

No one knows. But it definitely saw things.

 One Call Corner

You don’t have to live with:

  • That sink that drains slower than molasses in January

  • A mystery leak that only shows up at 2 a.m.

  • Or a garbage disposal that sounds like it’s trying to escape

Because when weird plumbing problems strike… One Call is all it takes.
